I have noticed that when I take a nap or when I get up in the morning I start having seizures can you tell me why
Yeah, I have seizures during the night and early morning that has been diagnosed as narcolepsy. It sounds exactly the same as mine.
Brandi, has any change in your sleep patterns changed? Have any of your medications changed? How about the temperature level there? And your stress level?
I've awakened some mornings with seizures, I have no idea why, but I started to think if it had anything to do with Seroquel, I was taking a 100 mgs at bedtime every night. I now try to go to sleep naturally no matter how long it takes me to get there, I do sleep little wake up and sleep little again, I know cause I remember dreaming, but with the medicine I don't dream anything I'm just sleep and that's scary to me.check the side affects of your medicines, see if anything there that may cause a trigger
@BrandiGalllant , They might be nocturnal seizures where you have them in your sleep or where you’re finishing up from having one. I have partial seizures & nocturnal seizures where I have seizures in my sleep. I don’t have auras & so I don’t always know I’ve had a seizure unless I notice something is odd or someone witnesses it like my Mom or stepdad who I still live at home with. In February 2022 I woke up confused trying to find something to the right side of me on my bed but I finally found my glasses in their regular spot & snapped out of it & in March 2022 I woke up one morning to find myself on the floor beside my bed sliding my finger across the bed. Just let your doctor know if they’re not aware of them. I hope you feel better & your seizures calm down. Your friend in Texas, Becky
