Has Anyone Experienced Memory Loss?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy about 5 years ago(experiencing tonic-clonic and partial seizures) , and I've been taking lamotragine for about 3 years now. I'm not sure if this is just a side effect of the medication or just a quirk that goes along with being epileptic. As memory loss goes, I'm not really sure how long it's been going on.

Memory loss is part of the package, when diagnosed with Epilepsy. Between the seizures and the medication they can make it hard for you memory.

I have memory loss with a diagnosis of Partial seizures, 20+ years now, and also take lamotragine as one of the medications to control them.

I Agree breen and jimS, short term is horrific but my long term is bad too just not as bad as short term.

I'm with you on this, my short term is horrible but long term comes back very slowly, it's like this great awakening when it does.
