I’ve had seizures for over 30 years. My first seizures was in my sleep…I’ve had tonic clonic, I’ve had seizures that I was awake the entire time I just couldn’t control myself but I was aware the entire time but I’ve been having my seizures in my sleep and sometimes multiple seizures. I can usually tell by how I feel when I wake up or my Fiancé tells me when I’ve finally come out of them. I’m just would like to know more information or if anyone else has experienced anything similar to what I’ve… read more

I'm usually awake at night and I miss human contact. I was a nurse now I'm just a person .

I have had seizures in my sleep, but it's not a common occurrence. The anxiety and depression are really hard for me. I understand what it feels like to just want to have somebody, a friend, to talk to...but nobody seems to want to have anything to do with you. My therapist told me to try something new that I would enjoy. I started painting, even though I have no idea how. I just put on music and focus on the brush strokes. It actually works. But you're not alone, most of us feel similar in some way. It helps to talk in forums like this with people who understand.

I have nocturnal seizures too. They are brutal. I end up so depressed and anxious and I’m not a depressed and anxious person. This is physiological. Family ends up having to help out. You aren’t alone. There are many of us on here with the same issues.

I’ve been having seizures for 28 yrs. I’ve recently had to get rid of my roommate, kick out I mean.
I’ve never lived alone before. It scares the crap out of me. For the most part no one understands how I feel before, after. I understand what you mean, it sucks. I can’t get upset with anyone, I’m not sure how I even feel. I can sometimes feel before I’m going to have one up to a day before. I get very dingy and anxiety, leave me alone attitude with others. I even get up and try running away from people.

I don’t have a very full schedule witch isn’t good. Too much thinking and not being able to express those thoughts is very hard on you mentally. I try writing so I can go back and read my feelings and it will help get out of my funk. MUSIC helps me clear my head. My biggest thing is not having that one person on my phone list that I can call anytime about anything. I went more than a year without having a problem, felt good mentally, getting out and doing things. Was getting confidence back. It takes just that one seizure and have to start over……. That person you can talk too, that will really understand you is super important. Meditations of different types can really clear your had, takes some practice.

I’ve been secluded in my condo for a week now since having my last seizure and that’s not helping at all. My panic attacks and very bad anxieties over power mentally all that time I went without a seizure. Don’t feel lonely. You certainly aren’t the only one that does. Im on the search for that one, two or whatever person to trust. Think of your own definition of the word faith. Harder than you think. You will know it when you get it. Took me 2 yrs. I’ve had so many types of seizures, so many different meds. Im reading about mental and physical side effects of these meds. Could my meds be some of the cause of depression? Already know how you feel after one???? Been trying some brain games but I haven’t gotten to it much.

Don’t feel alone.
Your not alone.
