Has Anyone Got The Neuro Pace?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

What is your experience like? Would you recommend it? What can you expect before/after surgery? Can you tell its there when you feel your head? Can you see the scar really good from surgery after hair grows back? Asking because i had 1 surgery and i believe this is one of my options for a 2nd surgery.

I have no experience with it but I can explain from what I’ve researched on it in the past and present.

A little rectangular power box is place under your skull, but it’s not touching your brain ( you’ll to have the Dr. Explain that better ) . Two wires extend out fro the power source and place down inside your brain. Probably where your seizures are located.

When you seizures it would stimulate a pulse through the wires to stop them reaching the full seizure effect. People may not notice you’re seizuring.

This device also work similar to an EEG and records the seizures. You would go to a secure internet site ( seen by only your Dr. ) where you will send the seizures reading to the computer. That is done by some type of reading device connected to the computer.

Go to YouTube and search for * MUSC Epilepsy patient receive help w/ new NeuroPace “. They interview a young man’s and family’s experience with the RNS . They also interview a Dr. And explains it and even shows the device and where it’s placed. There are other videos on this device.
