Lamictal Levels Not Rising/stopped Working

After years of Lamictal controlling my seizures, I had a breakthrough seizure with no explanation. When I was pregnant, they increased and increased my dose since I was not reaching “therapeutic levels” per my blood draws. After pregnancy I returned to my previous dose (the one that had worked for years) and had a breakthrough seizure with no explanation. Your body is tolerating your medication. My body has done the same to all the different medications I’ve been on. After putting me on the max dosage, my Dr. Would switch me to a different medication. Your Dr. Needs to do the same..

Today I’ve been on the majority of the AED meds and non have work 100 percent for me

Perhaps your metabolism has changed after pregnancy and Lamictal is no longer as effective as it used to be even though the dosage is increased. Talk to your doctor, it might be time to change medication.
