VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy)
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi,

I was in the EMU and they are suggesting the VNS therapy. I have done a lot of research. I was wondering if anyone on here has had that done and what their thoughts are?

I got my first VNS in 1998. Not long after fda approval. It changed my life drastically!! FOR THE BETTER!!! Drastic reduction in seizures and the only side effect i have is hoarseness. Life changer for me!!!! Now we have to find out what is happening and address it. Best wishes to u.

I'm certain that you more than likely can find reviews on the web about it. Hoping all goes well for you 😊

I had my VNS done in 2005 . It didn’t work well for me. I was still having similar amounts of seizures, that I had before the implant

When the power box died, my Dr. And I agreed it wasn’t worth replacing it.
