Brain Surgery Experience
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had brain surgery in November to remove cortical dysplasia in my right frontal lobe. It was an awake craniotomy. Luckily I am now seizure free 4 months, before had seizures every night. If anyone has any questions or advice I’d love to be a resource for you!

Hi. Congratulations on the success of the surgery. How are you doing now? I was told by my Neurologist that if this next set of meds doesn't adjust to me well, along with the Neurosceience Physical Therapy, that its time to consider Brain Surgery to install a pacemaker. I'm very worried about taking that route. Was it an easy (rather smooth) decision for you? My seizures take place in my Temporal Lobe and my episodes were all happening at night in my sleep but they are now starting to change character. I was diagnosed with this new lifestyle late 2019 and i'm still trying to adjust to it. Any advice you can give, would be greatly appreciated.
