Clobazam (Generic Onfi) Decrease
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

After being on 10 mg Clobazam daily for 4 years after brain surgery, I am finally brave enough to decrease/wean off of it. Now I'm going to be down to 5 mg. Not a big change but it feels big to me with my anxiety. Has anyone else decreased this medication? Were there any effects you noticed, good or bad?

Ativan just eases my anxiety so much and makes me not even think anything negative

I do as well have a hard time wearing off of ATIVAN 1mg.BUT my NEUROLOGIST changed me to the rescue suppositories of 10mg of VALIUM which works much faster but is easier for me to come off of.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Jeez! How did you function? I was on 20 mg a day at one point and felt drunk a solid 3 hours of the day. I can't imagine 40!

Back up to the 10 mg for me, but I do what I gotta do tbh.

I was on 40mg CLOBAZAM (Onfi) daily. Recently reduced to 20 mg daily and I’ve been great! Hoping it works well for you also.
