Epilepsy And Midozalam
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get Keppra 500 mg from my neurologist and midozolam 7,5 mg.
Does anyone else have experience using these medications?
Is midozolam dangerous?

Yep. I rarely use Midazolam because it causes a cognitive impairment, brain fog, irritability, or bloody nose. The last one nothing compared to the other ones. I was on Keppra 4500 mg daily which I found didn’t do much, so I weaned it off super slowly, and sometimes in admissions to get a voice EEG.

I am on the same thing, and it made me upset too. I am new to the meds so it will take me a while to get use to them.

I’m on Keppra, A lot of people think of this as an even drug because of the side effects. Especially the emotional and behavioral changes from its side effects.

I’m one of the lucky ones, who has experienced those side effects.
