Just wondering has anyone on here tried thiamine to help manage their seizures ive been reading alot about what thiamine does for the body and nervous system and thought to give this supplement a try .

I've taken thiamine in the past to help calm my mind and deal with stress better and it did help this is before my seizures happen so im considering taking again.

Oh that sounds great. I pulled up these two articles that are informative to an extent on the necessity of maintaining proper vitamin levels especially thiamine

Like other B-complex vitamins, thiamine is sometimes called an "anti-stress" vitamin because it may strengthen the immune system and improve the body's ability to withstand stressful conditions. It is named B1 because it was the first B vitamin discovered.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i had no idea how vitamin b1 thiamine can help your nervous system no doctor tells you this ive started taking a vitamin b supplement called voost that you dissolve in water and drink it has all the other b vitamins included it's advised that you take all b vitamins together as they work better when taken together.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I have done a bit of research on it but not a whole lot yet. I am definitely interested, at first for my autonomic nervous system since that is haywire anymore, and now I’m interested for my neurological health! Thank you for this question and opening up this discussion, I think it’s so awesome to be able to find where you can help your body and fine tune your dietary intake for maximum vitality and health! I will research more on Thiamine now. πŸ‘πŸΌ

I 100% agree about watching your own seizure and then thinking how hard it is for a fam member to see it firsthand. I also can't drive which sucks because I haven't been able to have that independence since I was 22 and now 27. The prime years and my mom is driving me around!!
