Having been a migraine sufferer for nearly 50 years, I wonder if the recent onset of epilepsy has anything to do with the fact that I no longer have violent pain but still have a lot of the feelings that accompanied a migraine. I used to regularly take time-out (usually 24-48hrs) but for a couple of years now its no longer the case. I wonder if these seizures (knocking me out for a day or two) have replaced the migraine - or have been caused by it?
I really feel bad because i mentioned that i was not going to take the vaccine under any circumstances. Now i plan to visit family in NYC soon. Following the travel advisory news they are trying to secure themselves in having anyone and all passengers traveling domestically will need to have proof that you have taken the vaccine. How do you feel about this forceful decision now that J and J have put a stop on the vaccine because of blood clot issues?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Iāve had the AstraZeneca vaccine and Iāve been ok I had a sore arm and a rash two weeks later with itchiness and I was tired Iām waiting to second shot Iām glad you got yourā¦ read more
Has anyone suffered side effects from having the flu jab? Has it interfered with your medication? I'm due to have my flu jab soon and am concerned.
No
As everyone knows your being injected with the actual virus that itās supposed to prevent and not all immune systems can handle the effects especially babies under the age of one āš¼ years old ā¦
Same with me @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member . I have never even done the the Flu Vaccine.
Hello everyone . Has any of you had a bad experience with ADE meds, meaning that they end up worsening the seizure activity instead of reducing it. I'm already at the 3rd med that did this and I'm already starting to get worried. I know that worsening seizures is a side effect for all antiepileptic meds, why that happens is beyond my comprehension. Anyway I know this is a rather rare side effect, for example in lamotrigine it's a 1/10000 cases incidence which is very rare but... what the hellā¦ read more

Hey Guys,
I haven't been on for a while and I'm sure it's already been asked but....
How many of you have had the Covid-19 shots (and which one and why).
Also, my doctor wants me to get Pfizer along with my partner,
but by the time he gets it his work would have started and he won't because he hasn't had the shot.
Again, we can have the Astra in a few days and everything would be alright.
I'm very confused,
I am alright I had the Oxford Astra zenica an I am perfectly alright they are saying for the booster we might get the one the doctors are asking you to have they have studied having them mixed firstā¦ read more
My neuro told me that Epilepsy is not a qualifying condition, but NY State released the list of who would qualify next. It says:
Beginning February 15, 2021:
Adult New Yorkers of any age with the following conditions qualify for the vaccine:
"Neurologic conditions including but not limited to Alzheimer's Disease or dementia"
We have a neurological condition, but of course it's different than dementia. I can't find any further definition. Would you go ahead and try to get an appointmentā¦ read more

Has anyone heard of the results of testing with people with epilepsy? Is there any difference in performance compared to Merck? Or is this a generic version of the Moderna or Pfizer? I need answers to make a decision.
I had the phizer vaccine 2 weeks ago and have been fine. Which vaccine was it and do you know what caused his death. Ex. Blood clot.
