This is to keep hormone levels from spiking just before a period. If you're like me with high levels already the regular rise speeds up brain etc. A non-epileptic may get sad etc but an already racing epileptic brain has a seizure. Birth control pills can help keep them level to avoid this. Many have had great results. If Dr. says give it time don't worry they won't hurt you Just your Dr. knowing bout hormones+epilepsy shows how up to date & experienced especially
,for women.

I suggest balancing your hormones naturally through a naturopath, once i get my bowel operation done to remove the endrometriosis on it i will be seeking that path I don't like the idea of medications messing with my hormones .

Sorry I can’t help you with this question, because none of my Doctors I worked with allowed me to take birth control pills probably because of my medication or because of my type of seizures?? I never asked, so I got fixed. But I hope your question gets answered and things turn out good for you.
