There are many possible causes of Epilepsy however, in many cases, the doctors are not able to determine what is the cause for an individual --as was the case with me. There is just too much about the human brain that scientists and doctors still do not fully understand. And even though they have more tools than they did a century ago to assist them, this is often still not enough. But my answer would be I have always been a gran mal epileptic since the age of a 2-3 year old toddler. No epilepsy on both my dad & mums side of the family, so as my cousin says to me, Im the black sheep of the family!!
