Can Anyone Give Me A Responsible Answer To These Covid Meds And How They Interact With Various Seizure Meds.

I don't trust doctors. I've had too many just wanting to cover their derrieres and without info from patients. Items such as SUDEP are an example. One doctor on this site said there's no problem with any of the covid shots. How would she know? Groups like big pharma, TV talking heads and politicians who are paid off by them are not our friends. There are benzodiazepines, valproates, Phenobarbital, etc.that are not something to be played with
Here's a fun list put out by the Mayo Clinic h… read more

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I actually wish that I could tell you that there was some agency or even an organization of doctors that we could absolutely trust to be honest with us on exactly what they know and more importantly do not know at this moment. We cannot trust any politicians and most heads of departments in governments for exactly the reason that you point to -- there is big money being sent around by the pharmaceutical industry to inspire the heads of government to side with them and making much more profits for their company.

And as for anyone else that has the credentials to be an expert (Fauci) because NO ONE on the planet is an expert on Covid-19. The very best of them are only making educated guesses based upon the limited data that they have from dealing with it around the world for 1.75 years approximately. However, this is nothing new. It is all trial and error and gather more and more data to make updated postings of the impact of having a disease or disorder and surviving it and the same for the taking of a vaccine, medication for anything, etc. And just like any of us can point out, there are some anticonvulsants or diets that work out great for allowing one or more of us to achieve a long term seizure free state, but those same anticonvulsants can not only not allow others to achieve the same but may also make others sick or worse too.

I took got both of my vaccine shots, and will eventually get my booster shot when it is offered. And I honestly anticipate that just like the annual flu shot, we will be doing the same with the Covid-19 shots.

Also remember that the shots for polio, small pox, etc. were not cures but rather that over time they were perfected such that some required a booster shot and others did not to put the immunity booster in the bodies of people and once enough of the world population had gotten the shots, these were driven out of existence. This is not the same as if someone actually found a cure for them. And Cancer in any form does not have a cure, but different treatments have allowed people to get into a cancer free state for a while (with the very lucky ones reaching a cancer free state for the rest of their lives), but most have to go back and get more treatments when cancer free ends.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Great to hear! And I hope that 25 years seizure free moves onward to the rest of your life!

I hope that we can all get the right neurologist so that we can likewise become seizure free.

The same is the case with so many other things like the EPA (created in the USA by president Nixon in 1970 with the goal of ensuring that every American has access to clean air and clean safe drinking water). You do not have to scan very far to find hundreds if not thousands of cases where this is not true and some of which where the industries and the governments knew the facts ahead of time but refuse to do anything like recall foods and medicines that have something in them that should not be there or removing lead from house paints, etc. My younger brother paid the price with lead poisoning as a kid because of this fact and the lead vapor or very small chips of paint that got into his peanut butter sandwiches that he (a five year old) is eating in the summer while sitting on the front porch. And since we were living in a tenement, the need is for the owner to get the lead paint out, but since it takes at least 10 years before the US government bans lead paint in the country, who knows how many other little kids suffered like my younger brother.

And, I can go on and on with more examples in all of those areas. The key is that it is not all doctors that I do not trust but rather the health insurance companies, hospitals and monster medical groups (like Steward Medical) that care nothing about human beings and everything about profits.
