I'm the one with epilepsy but my husband is a massive hoarder (his mum & dad are the same Why have 25 books when you can have hundreds ,why have 2 guitars when you can have 15? Every time I try to clear bits out to a charity shop be notices straight away. Annoys the hell out of me .Are you worried that your son may fall onto hoarded material & hurt himself ?

I know it's hard living with a hoarder but the honest answer ,IMO ,is that you could have a minimalist home ,he could still fall &hurt himself Does he live with you? In which case Your house, your rules Does he understand you're trying to help him.Eg ,you need a safe way in for paramedics just in case Not easy ,I do hope you can work something out x
