Whether you’re increasing or decreasing any of your meds, how long do you feel it takes your body to adjust to the new dosage?
It has differed from one medication to another.
Some meds…..
I adjusted right away
Took me awhile
My body got so adapted to the meds, my body tolerated it to the point where it stopped working.
Meds my body may ejected the meds or the meds ejected me to the point of not being able to keep balance or walk, think clearly and then becoming bed rest because of the medication.
It depends on the medicine and your system and how quickly it adapts to change. For some it may take 3 to 4 weeks. For others it may take 4 to 5 weeks. And it depends how much your doctor is increasing or decreasing your dosage. Anytime there is a change with your meds you have to wait and see if the new dosage is to much or not enough to help you. Documentation helps a lot also.
I say it takes moths to adjust to a new dose of medicine.
For me, about a month. My neurologist thinks 2 weeks is plenty of time, I think she needs to get her head out of the lab and into real life once in awhile. Life is messy, labs are accurate to a precise fault.
I would say it takes me a month to 6 weeks depending on the dosage and how long they increase the dosage for you that they want you on x x
