Seizures can also effect the way you breath. Some people will stop breathing during seizures. That has happened to me before as well as my breathing usually gets very deep even if I don't stop breathing

If it keeps happening without any warning of a seizure, then it might be an asthma attack. But if not, it could be part of a seizure coming on. I have asthma with my epilepsy but i don't have an asthma attack while i am having seizures. Talk to your doctor. She/He may have to do a test on your breathing. If that is ok, you may have been having a small seizure.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member is your asthma controlled well with inhalers or tablets? Your doctor won't of put you on seizure medication that interferes with your asthma. If you feel you are having breathing difficulties take your blue (salbutamol) inhaler then sit in a chair or somewhere where you won't hurt yourself if a seizure comes on. I have asthma and not noticed an asthma attack and seizure at the same time but my asthma is quite controlled. It sounds more like a seizure you are experiencing but as others have said I would speak to your doctor about this. Take care.

I did have my usual seizure warning before that was happening and the dreaded paralysis but I was just curious is that what it happens when people have issues with there breathing during a seizure or I'm just experiencing something that isn't a usual seizure process I'm glad that you can't have an asthma attack and a seizure at the same time that would be hell to experience.
