I've been on this since I was 6...I'm 43 now. It's a base line medication for epileptic seizures. It works to a point. As you age it will need dose adjusting. It's the generic version of Dilantin. It is usually paired with another medication like micolin, gabapentin, keppra, or diamox. Hope this helps!

I'll be honest with you never heard of a med I will suggest that you research for your records and as you go along drink plenty of water and keep a chart for yourself, pay attention to yourself before and during your intake of the med right it down and discuss it with you Neurologist and doctor .I pray that this will help you as it's been helping me 😉🥰☺️

I used to take Dilantin and it made my gums swell really bad! I still had seizures while on the dilatin! I am goin to the dentist Monday to get a set of upper dentures which is going cost me $1974 total!!!! They have to pull out 18 teeth too!!!

Hi there. I'm on it and am 49. Haven't had a seizure in 25 years. Gums swelling a lot. Made me tired for first year. I would have Granmals also. Taking twice a day 200mg morning/300 mg at night. All good. Good luck.

Just make sure you see your dentist often!!!! I just had all my upper teeth pulled today!!!! Next Monday I am getting a top plate and all the bad bottom ones pulled and I will be fitted for my partial!!!!!
