Laser Eye Surgery
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone with epilepsy and wears glasses tried laser eye surgery? apart from the cost I am thinking about it because each time I have a seizure I damage my glasses!

Yes, My Insurance covered it. A lot of times Epilepsy Meds play with Your vision.

I had laser surger a little over a year ago, in January 2020. I am so happy that I did! It is worth it! It only takes about 30 seconds an eye for the actual treatment with the laser. Takes longer for the setup, prep, and numbing. It wasn't bad, a little uncomfortable and your eyes feel gritty for a few days, but then it is awesome.

I was able to see my eye doctor, both of us wore a mask though. Even my cataract surgery was done during this epidemic!

Yes, you can have it with astigmatism. Mine was bad and I was able to have it.
