Is Feeling THIS Lonely Normal With Seizures?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I've never been able to get used to being alone. It's not just because of the wondering what would happen if I had a seizure alone, but it seems to go MUCH deeper than that for me: Even at 48 years old, I get SO lonely and depressed living alone, I can't seem to do anything. I don't eat decent, I don't sleep well, I can't get myself up to doing cleaning. It seems the problem is that I'm SO connected to family, I've never been able to get used to living alone. (I've always wanted to get married… read more

ATM I'm sure you qualify as a vulnerable adult so do you have anyone who could visit . I ve known people get married later on in life so the right man could be out there for you there for you.I always said that if I was alone I'd buy a little Jack Russell / miniture schnauzer or a small rescue dog .I guess this Covid situation is making things worse for you Sending hugs You're never alone on this site πŸ’•πŸ’•

Before you turned 48, how did you grow up? In a family settting? I have been single all my life and loving it. I grew up in a fmily when my sister and later on, my brother left home and got married. I stayed home and looked after Mum. I wante dto move out but di dnothav ethe finances then. I had my hobbies of records, music and computer work. I grew up alone and it is fine. I have my hobbies which keep my busy and a part-time job. I look after myself and get food when needed, clean my apartment, shop if I need something. I learned a long time ago to be independent. No one is here to look after me so I look after myself. I can come and go as I please and no one to answer to.

Yes, For Living With Two Retired CNA's That Know Their Work. I've Been A Single Man All My Life. It'd Be Nice To Meet A Nice Female Companion & We Have A Lot In Common, As Far As Activities, Music, & Other Odd Things. I'm Not Wanting A Sexual Relationship.

I just recently got out of a bad relationship and the one thing he mostly picked on me about was the fact that I live with my parents and way I had to learn to look at it is that I'm home with a loving family and safe and that's what really matters at the end of the day...are you safe? And are you happy?
