Auras are partial seizures so you shouldnā€™t drive. Which I know sucks. Iā€™m in the same boat.

I suggest that you check the laws in Alabama and then possibly with your neurologist for the answer to that question. What is the typical form of your auras?

I was having issues for a couple of years, but everything was in the first 4 hours of being awake. I was up probably 13 hours and needed to go to the gas station at end of neighborhood. I drove slow and tried to make sure I paid attention to what was going on. I woke up at a stop sign, stomping the gas peddle and ramming the car in front of me. I was able to back up and go around the car to ram head on into the car across the street. I woke up 2 hrs later unhurt in the hospital. I injured three of the people in the other 2 cars. I constantly told myself that eventually it would be OK. My issues are only in the mornings. After about 6 years of ONLY mornings issues, I convinced myself that I could drive in the evening after being up for a while. The Occasional Auras are a risk you shouldn't take.
