So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. First time I was at the community college, I was there for my AA but I had just found out that I had Epilepsy. My GPA started dropping near the end of a year and a… read more
It's been awhile since I have been in college. I always told my professors about my condition the very first day, and gave them some info. I was an art major. Ask for permission to record the class… read more

Not at all.
I've been using my phone calendar to remind me to do stuff. I've been using it for over a year now & it's worked great, but recently there have been glitches in my phone & my reminders keep being removed. I have a bad memory, so I rely on my phone to ensure I don't forget to do something. Last week I set a reminder on my phone to do my homework & it got removed, and as a result, I forgot to do it. There are a lot of little things I'm also forgetting to do because my phone keeps deleting the… read more
I was told when I was in 3rd grade by the official judge at the elementary school that I had no musical talent and wasn't even able to keep with the beat. I would later learn that not being able to… read more
How does it feel when you’re having trouble getting words out? I have occasional trouble with it, like today, and I wanna see how it’s affected others.
It’s hard to say how long it goes on . Everyone is different.
For myself. When I first wake up I struggle getting out what I want to say. I may be away but my brain is still asleep. It takes me… read more
What do you do to pass the time? Maybe you are unable to drive and stuck at home.
Do you find it keeps your spirits up.?
What's your hobby?
I miss walking and taking the bus to the mall. I really wish I had been able to visit the city/state I live in before I cam here. I would not have moved here. The only sideways and buses are downtown… read more
I had a neurologist appointment. I know I answered most questions like I know what I am talking about. But when I get home and try to explain to my husband what the doctor said, I don't remember. I don't remember why I need a test? I don't remember what I said. I feel so dumb. My spouse usually goes to my appointments, but couldn't go this time. He gets frustrated when I don't have the information. He thinks that sometimes doctors just want to do tests to get information for statistical… read more
I always take someone with me. But my memory therapist says I need to start writing key words from conversations and it will bring the whole thing back to me
It tends to affect most of my personal life. It's quite embarrassing at times, working with a colleague for 3 years and all of a sudden you can't remember something like names. Going to your boss to ask or tell them or tell them something and just stand there because you don't remember. It's frustrating not to mention annoying.
Hello Thato. It's been a few years since you were online, so if you don't read this, I hope that it will help someone else. Short term memory loss is a common side effect of many seizure medications… read more
😂 but keep on smiling 😊
I would appreciate from those of you on long-term seizure free state or great operations such that you do not take the medication. Likewise, I would like to hear from those who have reached a long-term seizure free state on alternative treatment, and what your memory (memory recall, short-term memory or long-term memory) whatever has been hampered gotten any better or worse.
Finally, the same questions for those of medication too.
And have any of you noticed any time changes to other basic… read more
