Yes sodium valproate trade name is Eppolam can cause you to fall as one of the side affects
I was on Sodium Valporate / Epilem for 8 years with others added on, I started to notice odd things like I would walk towards the kerb, always throw the dogs ball to the left and trip over my left foot. When it became obvious to other people I realised it had being going on for a long time, then I started to develop a tremor and over a few weeks it got so bad I brought forward my appointment, he said straight away it was the epilem and I was slowly taken off them and put onto Brivaracetam and within few weeks it all stopped.
They could still be drop seizures, I have them. It’s like nothing works and wham! I fall face forward which is classic of a drop seizures.
