Who Knows How Long Its Takes For Your Doctor To Prescribe You A New Drug That You Need?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I struggle with anxiety badly because of the epilespy. The doctor suggest some anti-anxiety drug for me and i been waiting weeks for them. I dont know what else to do, to get them my attention. Ive emailed and phoned many times. Getting fed up now.

Lucy yes i found the book to be good so far i haven't finished yet. However, if you are interested, the books author is; Jennifer L. Abel. My wife found it on Amazon. As far as your prescriptions, your doctor will call the pharmacy but the question always is does the pharmacy have your prescription in stock to fill it. Most of the time it doesn't matter which pharmacy it is, they will never have it in stock and will have to order it. Especially with epilepsy medicine. When i asked the pharmacist why, she said because they never know when the patient is no longer using it and have switched to another drug. That way, they keep their stock low.

That is really weird it is taking him so long to get back to you... To be honest, if I were you I would try a different outlet for your anxiety before medicine. I was having drop seizures last year and ended up with 7 concussions in about 3 months that probably ended up causing a lot of brain damage. Turns out my anxiety medicine Lorazapem was causing it. Yoga is my go to, or Kava oil. For really high stress situations, my favorite things are those bracelets that people use for sea sickness. No joke, you can get them at Walgreens for $8. Please invest.
