Marijuana As Treatment For Temporal Lobe Epilepsy?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, I have temporal lobe epilepsy and was wondering if anyone else uses marijuana as a treatment for the after affects of partial seizures? I find that it helps me get on with my day and think more positively after having a seizure. I smoke every day. Smoking weed doesn't prevent the seizures from happening, but I'm curious if it has been proven beneficial for those of us with temporal lobe epilepsy specifically. I smoke daily also while still taking my AEDs as marijuana takes the edge off the nasty side effects that my meds have on me and calm my anxiety as well as reducing my sezuires and helping with my depression and insomnia.

Charlotte's Web is the best form of the CBD oil! I pray that you may have more peaceful days & restful nights! Shalom. Maire'

I smoke daily as well. I use it for the same reason to help with anxiety and morale. I think using CBD strains do help with my partial seizures. Since I started smoking my seizures have decreased significantly. I use the strain Charlottes web

I have been using CBD oil (with peppermint flavor) to help with the seizure control... It has helped. The Marijuana is not the best, because of the mixture of ingredients with different effects on the brain (negatively). Go on line and look up the CBD oil. There are different strengths available ... and it does help to treat other medical problems. You can also order it on-line or at a good vitamin store. Do take the time to look up the info, and the recommended dosages. I hope that this helps. Shalom. Maire'
