Another Post-Surgery Question
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Before surgery, I had really neat handwriting. After surgery, it got shakier and nowhere near as neat. I just don't like my writing like I used to.

I just read something that says the removal of your hippocampus can cause problems with writing. Anyone else notice it?

I had surgery not for epilepsy. the surgery was one of the reasons I have the seizures. I'm left handed but the seizures are the right so I don't know why my writing is so bad. even I cant even read it. This has been happening over a yr or 2 and this is the period that my cognition is so bad surgery was 9 yrs ago

I didn’t notice any changes in my writing after my brain surgery. But my writing has never been that neat

For me everything is pretty normal. My memory isn't the best, but I notice it in more people its not just me.
