Can Constant Yawning Be A Symptom Of Epilepsy
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I yawn sometimes for 8 to ten minutes with 13 to 18 seconds between yawns. My eyes water and get pains in them too.

Being tired is really bad for epileptics. Your meds can cause this so check the side-effects..

When I look after brain injured pts generally traumatic they never stop yawning. I do too since my surgery and don't think I'm tired. its getting more oxygen to the lungs and that keeps the heart working to keep brain oxygenated. Just talking about it is making me yawn now LOL

not to my knowledge. you yawn if you get board or tired or sleepy. when you yawn, you get extra oxygen to your lungs and then it goes right back to your mouth. my guess is you are taking meds that cause you to get sleepy or tired and make you yawn. if you are that concern, call the dr.
