A good friend of mine Hydrophilic (that's the medical word for water baby). And here are the rest of the details of his personal situation: I had this shunt place when I was two months old. I will turn 51 this July. I've had 30 shunt revisions, to the point the last 3 were in 96. & now nothing else can be done. I'm not even sure I qualify to have this brain surgery. Haven't been to take all their test, due to the pandemic of the Corona virus . If you know someone else who is Hydrophilic, & has… read more

You definitely have the right idea in and have found motivation to not quit. Some people doubted and teased me in the beginning of my undergraduate career because of the first school I went to-that was my parents school. I did not back down and eventually went to the University I really wanted to go to. Do You know who John Roberts is? The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court-he has epilepsy, is anybody going to tell him, a Harvard Law School Graduate he cant do his job? That man did not quit, don't let anybody tell You school will be to difficult! Nobody with epilepsy should believe that.

Hi, about 6 to 8 year's ago my skull was drilled into both sides by surgeons to make holes so they could look to remove part of brain causing epilepsy , but they did't cause they found i had epilepsy on both sides of my brain, so I had a vagal nerve stimulator fitted.

No l just had the Brain surgery. not sure what hydrophilic is. Water baby? I love to swim if that's what you mean. I've had epilepsy all my life and have taken so many types of medication I can't remember them all. I have had the vns put in and brain surgery 10 years ago. I don't mind at all if they would like to join my team.

Hello, sorry if this is not the correct kind of answer You want: The one thing that I can tell You that I know if Your epilepsy can/may possibly be eliminated is through taking a test. The Depth Electrodes Test. It gave me the answer I wanted to know & provided my Dr.'s with more information. I have seizures coming from both sides of my brain so nothing else can be done. If You would like some more information about this test form somebody that has had it send my some questions & I will answer them if You like.
