Did Keppra Worsen Your Anxiety
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor weaned me off it as I feel uneasy and anxious on it and wants me now to take lamicital
As soon as kepra was put up to 500mg a day I felt worse..and that’s such a low dose

I am paranoid about being taken off kepra and Tegratol slowly and having to relay on lamicital alone..

What is everyone’s experiences with changing medication for trial and error...

I’ve been on Keppra since it was on the market. I was taking 4000mg and now 2500mg. With Keppra alone no difference but after 40 years on Tegratol and changing to Triliptal, I see a big difference and seizure control. Also on Clobazam.
Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 meds to control the seizures, depending on the person.

Nadinen, some people have side effects and some don’t. Depending on the person and meds.
