Peudoseizures And Driving?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Okay so i have epilepsy as well as puesdo seizures i recently got my permint and have to get examed by a doctor to keep my licence will have to contiue every 4 years. Thats is because of there knowledge of my Epilepsy. My question is what if you only have puedo seizures? Does it fall under the same category as Epilepsy and thats what you mark at the DMV or do you just get a note from a doctor? Thoughts!

But like I said both Epileptic and Pseudo seizures go hand in hand together. It is like love and marriage, you can't have one without the other. That is why our anti seizure meds serves as a dual function.Anti convulsant and anti depressants. But the anti depressant part never works on controlling our depression.

I agree. Pseudoseizures are described as psychological in nature where Epilepsy has direct physical causes.

No because pseudo seizures are stress induced. And they only occur under intense stress. But driving can cause intense stress. These seizures can be controlled by anti depressants and anti anxiety drugs like Paxil.Basically they are mental seizures also known as psychogenic seizures. Most people who are diagnosed with pseudo seizures are looked at like they are faking their seizures. But pseudo and Epileptic seizures go together.Like love and marriage you can't have one without the other. Most all anti seizure meds are also meds that treats depression as well. They serve as a dual function. But tell that to us Epileptics because they don't controll our depression.
