Have any of you had success getting disability with controlled seizures? I'm considering applying, but my seizures are for the most part under control. I have some breakthrough seizures now and then because of missing or being late with my meds, but I haven't had a heavy seizure since March 2017. Took me 3 years. It's a state thing. Lots of people trying to cheat the system. Makes it harder for us.
Many here will tell you, best shot for SS disababilty is to lawyer up. In the yellow pages look for disability attorneys. Most don't get paid until you do. Even if it takes years. They will set a single digit %. The law says not to exceed certain amount.
The attorneys will do all the paperwork, set up your case, deal with everyone, act as your representative. You may have to fill out a form here and there, or give your doctor a form to sign. Let them flight for you.

Ive been trying to apply for disabilty for a few months and my seizures are mostly controlled and its not easy. Im only 20 and i was diagnosed when i first turned 18. My doctors are telling me that i am okay to work but they dont want me driving. I dont have seizures when i am on medication so they tell me to work but they dont provide any type of transportation or support to get there. And if i do get approved for disability its only going to be for around $600 a month, you can get a lawyer to try to get more but unless you paid more into the taxes or something like that you wont get more back.
