Has Anyone Ever Had A Clonic Tonic Seizure And Had No Memory Of It
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Sometimes I feel very off, if I am alone my mind gets fuzzy, and it almost seems like I lose chunks of my memory. I guess I wonder if I have ever had a seizure when I was alone and never knew because no one else was there.

I have Complex Partial seizures and never have a clue when or if I seizured. When around my family or friends, they will alert me . W.

Most of the time I have no memory of mine. If I’m alone, I know because I’m sore, bruised and sometimes I urinate on myself. I sometimes lose small amounts of time and sometimes days. I think it varies on the severity of the seizure.

My son has had a seizure and had no idea he had it. I was not home when he had it. I came home from shopping. He was in his room which is not unusual. He comes up about 30 minutes after I walk in the door. He has marks on his back and shoulders conducive to having had a seizure. He goes to the restroom, comes out, goes to fridge. At this point I asked him if he had a seizure while I was out. He looks at me like I am crazy BUT his eyes are hazy and half blood shot. He says he didn't so I make him show me his tongue. It is all chewed up. I have him look at it in the mirror and then it appears to hit him that he did have a seizure but I truly believe he had NO IDEA until then.

My husband has the same, no memory... he sometimes loses days and the only way he knows he's had one is from the intense muscle pain and cuts and bruises. He bit down on his teeth so hard that he smashed them, and at the age of 33 is now in the process of getting false teeth
