Wow I got an ear licking one time from my neurologist during our 20th anniversary (lol yes while our whole family’s were here) on the phone from my epileptologist because I refused to take that!!!!! I DON’T WANT TO BE ON MEDICATION EITHER, but now I have to take 9 tablets a day of sodium chloride because they can’t get my sodium to level out!!!!! I can’t even get into see a neurologist until 3-6 months from now, but I love my husband and babies too much I’m forcing myself to take them on top of my medication. What a killer!!!!!!! I heard there was actually a lawsuit against the company (whoever make keppra) and I didn’t like (in fact I feared) the side effects of keppra. Sometimes I feel as though it’s all about the money and not the person themselves!! I hope you get a more positive answer from others 🙏🏼. I do both as well. Mood swings happened in the beginning while I was getting used to the side effects, but after that I stabilized.

I was on lamotrigine i had mood swings, id get angry faster, itchy head but on those meds i would sleep like a rock

I used to take that medicine but it made my memory loss very bad, and it made my heart beat really fast. But it doesn't affect everyone the same way. I'm now on keppra and it works fine for me.
