During pregnancy I had to increase my medications way over the top and so was not able to breast feed any of my kids but it definitely didn't affect them and now with their own children they unfortunately ask for advice but I cannot help with the breast feeding questions - a bugger

It all depends on what medications you're taking when I had my daughter my doctor had said he didn't recommend it but if I still wanted to I had to go to some special class and they would show what to do. So if you want to breastfeed talk to your doctor I first he will tell what to do

What medications are you on? It really depends on which ones. I had my oldest & was told I could breastfeed & did right after she was born but after her 1st feeding I had to stop because Clobozam at 10mg a pill at 5 a day it would go into the bloodstream & she'd get it so I stopped. It's best to ask ahead & try to get your Dr. to double check ahead so you know if you can. The other way is changing your meds. just for it.

You’re right, it totally depends on the meds you take. I’m glad I didn’t with my kids b/c years later the med I was on was found to have bad side effects on infants. (It was a pretty new drug at the time)
