The more seizures you have the more damage is done to your brain causing memory loss so it's important to get your seizures under control.

What medication are you on? one of the main side effect of these medications can unfortunately be memory. I have struggled with it sososo much. During my 5-day in hospital stay for eeg/video monitoring, I had a neuropsychologist come in and take some tests. My results showed that my word finding is impaired and my short term memory is nooot good. haha i don't know the last time i went into a room and did not have to pause and attempt to remember why I went in the first place. I actually want to post more about this, so look for a longer response about think topic!

I have had hundreds of seizures in my life and can barely remember anything from before i was 13. It really sucks and is hard when everyone is asking you if you remember something and you just cant.

As others have said it's common. The best description I've heard that fits me is it's hard to find the right word you want to say, like on the tip of your tongue so often.

Also I think it's affected my writing and spelling. Really lame ;(

I have the same problem. It's why I started scrapbooking and writing journals so I can hopefully remember my life. Before I went to the hospital I could mostly just remember daily things and not the past. Then I came home from the hospital and remembered a lot from my past but couldn't remember where things were around the house or what obvious things were.
