Another Fycompa Post (sorry). What Side Effects Have You Experienced?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m reaching out to the wide web as I have a million questions after reading a post on Facebook support group
Fycompa- did anyone notice a decline in cognitive function, as in you forget words and say the wrong words. The oven and iron were “Microwave” for example and mid sentence go blank. Suddenly lose track of thought?
I find I get VERY distracted and very forgetful.
Did anyone find they got internally angry too

I’m beginning to wonder if this is fycompa or symptoms of something else PLEASE… read more

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I too suffer from all of the above, I think it's all just part and parcel of the Epilepsy hun, I've suffered with it for 30yrs now, so I've gotten used to the feelings. Some can be just down to side effects of different meds, some can be effects of a mixture of the meds you're on. Always though if in doubt make an urgent appointment to see your neurologist.

I lose track of my sentences and words all the time. I also get incredibly dizzy to the point where I struggle to walk and usually have to crawl leaning against the wall. I have noticed I have less patience and become angry quickly.

Happens to me all the time since I’ve started taking meds , everyone looks at me like they get so annoyed and like I’m losing it so I just raise my hand and walk away , don’t talk to much anymore

No problem! I have been on fycompa for about 8 months. Since starting fycompa I have also lost a lot of ability to feel pain that comes on slowly (like burns, hot/cold ect).
