2 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with epilepsy, prior to this I live a fairly normal life for a 25yo, loved going out partying with all of my friend and going on road trips whenever we could. I have always relied on my drivers license for getting around including to and from work. Finding a hobby and staying occupied, such as I walk in the morning for doughnuts and coffee at Sweet Bar in Rome, GA. I walk most of the time and I'll take a taxi or the bus when it's needed. Finding something to do is half of the battle. Judge Judy is my favorite show. I like sports but I'll watch Judge Judy first.
I never drank alcohol but always went out to bars with friends and had fun. I always lived where public transportation was available.
Same thing happened to me i dont know how long youll need to wait for your lisence but i had go wait 6 months (longest 6 months of my life) if you are carefull you can still drink responsably the trick is stay hydrated watch out tho you might get drunk faster with your meds... My neurologist almost fell off her seat when i told her i still had a few drinks here and there ππ but dont go black out drunk from what ive read the reason you would have a seizure is the day after drinking when your brain is dehydrated that could cause a seizure or an alcoholic stoping cold turkey

Same as other advice. Find something at home you enjoy. But.. have your friends and family take yiu to places thst you enjoy... dont isolate yourself, thats huge. I havent been able to work or drive 4 years. Im home alone 80% of time. I do crafting, scrap books, painting. On good days I get outside either for a walk, sit in porch or have someone take me out or uber
