Do You Let Your Boss/supervisor Know You Have Epilepsy?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Sometimes when I'm at work I have concentration problems/dizziness. I slow down, but I don't want my boss to think that I'm lazy or don't want to do the job. The job is very demanding, & I have to go at a fast pace. I'm thinking of letting my supervisor know, but I'm afraid of getting fired.

Have your neurologist fill out FMLA papers for your job.
It covers everything concerning your epilepsy. The type you have, your triggers, reasoning for why you need to slow down and take a break or why you may need to call out or go home early.
It'll also cover you from being fired because of your epilepsy..
Some people and jobs, need a better understanding and papers can go a long way. Make sure your managers / HR / & CEO all receive the same papers so everyone has them!

Yes, my boss knows I have epilepsy. Not only does it cover my ass if something goes wrong, it covers hers too.
