Breaking Teeth During Nocturnal Seizure
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Still have 12 days to meet back with the neurologist that saw me in the ER where I was told about the focal onset I was experiencing. Have not had an EEG yet, but did receive ct scan, mri and cta. I was released last Tuesday after a 24 stay. Rx for kolonopin and told to make friends with tylenol and motrin.

Heather, Sending Thoughts, Hugs & Prayers that you get to feeling better. Maybe you could touch base with your doctor or his nurse & let them know how bad you’re feeling & see what they can recommend. I have TMJ & grind my teeth when I sleep & I go to physical therapy for it & they also do what’s called dry needling on my jaws where they poke my jaws with a dry needle. The dry needling has helped make my pain more tolerable whereas just the physical therapy wasn’t helping. I’m having problems with panic attacks & shaking right now & we don’t know why & my family doctor has been adjusting my medicine until I can get in to begin seeing this Neurology Nurse Practitioner Tuesday & the Neurologist at the same office next month. But a couple weeks ago I woke up with my body twitching & I was grinding my teeth so hard that I was scared I was gonna break my mouth guard but I couldn’t control what I was doing. When I told my family doctor that he reduced my medicine. So you might get in touch with your doctor or the nurse & let them know what’s going on. Good luck. Hope you get to feeling better. Take care. Your friend in Texas, Becky
