All Day Non Convulsive Seizures
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey y'all! I just joined, so forgive me if I do things wrong!
I have complex focal aware seizures. Sometimes they only last a few minutes, and other times, they have gone on for 14+ hours. Does this happen to anyone else?
In a full time rv'er, and I've been to several neurologists, and a seizure center, but haven't gotten many answers.
Thanks so much, and hope everyone is having a great day!

I think I agree with you!
I usually get an aura or some sort of warning. Lights in my vision ( even with them closed) sharp pain in my head, nausea, etc. Most of the time, my husband knows it's coming before I do!

Bryan, that's how mine are. I am aware of things going on around me, but can't participate, sometimes can't move etc. It's almost as if things are in slow notion, yet also somehow in high speed at the same time. My eyes can't track, my speech center is screwy, world feels like it's moving.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member not necessary true. focal just means 1/2 the brain is affected. some of my seizures were worst than the general ones. i had a bad partial (focal onset) where i am aware in the brain but i cant talk and walk besides ma or mom.

No seizure is good, but I'm glad your condition is only the focal type because I think they are less intense. I have been speaking with my Dr which I see once every 3-4 months. I know that many times general stress can be a trigger. I'm not totally sure but I have been thinking that many of my cases could be what is known as PNES or non epileptic. I guess just being able to know the triggers would be a great help to decrease the frequency.
