Has Anyone Else Ever Experienced Seizures Where You Were Sleeping And Wake Up Somewhere Different?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I went to bed the other night wearing one set of pajamas and woke up in a completely different room, wearing all new pajamas. Something happened, I just don't know what. I remember nothing of doing any of it. I just know I feel like I had some hard, heavy seizures. Hopefully someone else knows what I'm going through.

Yeah, I slept the day away. Had a terrible headache when I woke up. I appreciate the input. Nobody was around this time when it happened.

Sounds like a blackout complex partial seizure. Blackout isn't the correct word for it, I cant remember the correct word. You dont remember it happening but were still functioning. I once had one in my sleep and came to in the backyard in the middle of the night and thought I was hearing my mother's voice. They aren't as hard on the body as a tonic clonic and you dont have convulsions. Still usually have a headache after and need to sleep after. They suck. I wish you the best and am always willing to talk

It’s happened to me...it’s not sleep walking, it’s part of the post ictal phase. Kind of scary waking up in a different place.

I can never remember anything about seizures.i found myself in the bathtub with paramedics over me, and last time I just woke up in my wet bed with a bloody pillow.

Yes, that has happened to me. Woke up on a different couch than I had layed down on for my nap. My son said I had a seizure and asked him to trade couches. I remember none of it.
