Very Poor 5 Day EEG Results?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Had a 5 day EEG and didn't think I had seizure during time. Got home and half an hour later the professor at the hospital rang me and asked if I had stopped my medication. He then asked what meds I am on and immediately said we need to double one of them. Apparently I had over 10 seizures a day but was unaware about them. I have to go in for an appointment which he made for next week, despite him having no vacancies. I am a little concerned by all this. Has anyone had a similar experience and… read more

if the dr said 10 seizures a day means it a great thing for the dr and a bad thing for you. the dr found out the cause of the seizures. but the dr is worried because you have a lot of seizures per day.
your dr will review the eeg and ether up your dose, down the dose, change meds, stay the same, or a both. if your dr said 10 seizures per day. your dr will up the dose and/or change med.
you mean the dr doent believe in vaccines (vaxs) or what? most people (including me) cant do vaxs. did you know that most if not all vaxs has aluminium and thiomersal (also called thimerosal and a type of mercury). and some vax said do not use if immune systems are low. i have food seizures so it the immune system.
sorry, i am a health nut that likes to talk.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i think RandySherman is saying there is epilepsy and there is seizures. your seizures are from stroke/scar tissue. your epilepsy is unknown for now. for example, my epilepsy is complex partial to grand mal (focal onset impaired awareness into tonic clonic) seizures. my seizures are cause by celiac disease (food seizures).

Do you know what type of Epilepsy they diagnosed you with? In my opinion, it sounds like you have Complex Partial seizures. I to have this type of Epilepsy. . I am unaware when my seizures act up.. in fact the other day my wife, kids and I were settling down after a busy day and I had one. I had no clue that I even had one until my wife mentioned it.

About your 5day EEG , don’t consider this bad . Grant it non of us want to seizure. When they were able to know the amount of seizures you have , they were able to know what direction to go with you and what treatments they can try.

Apparently the EEG showed seizure like activity( erratic waves). I
Think it's good news.

No, but there was no rhyme or reason to my neuros, except for a blatant attempt to block my SSD.My scan was shown to have had a tumor nobody mentioned when I divorced, seized up and wrecked my work van.It came up in my week long EEG meeting with the attendant neurologist.
