This may help. I survived Bacterial Mennigites, and it really scarred my brain. My right side is less than half the size of the left side. The scarring is what causes my seizures.

I've been on disability for 4+ years now. When I brought it up to my Dr relief came across her. Her response to me was " I wished you had asked me earlier". I guess Dr's aren't allowed to bring it up.

I had a tbi at a young age and have had seizures my entire life. None were ever diagnosed and I was thought to be crazy most of the time. My epilepsy, I now know is genetic and not a result of the injury. I had to figure out most of it myself and got better information from people in the support groups than I ever did from any of the many neurologists I've seen. They don't really know much about the brain at all, but they know how to make money off the big pharma companies. I still take high dose of Keppra 2x daily 1500 mg. each time. This helped, but didn't stop my many daily seizures. I've been on Cannabis oil since last Sept. and added CBD oil in November. I'm now pretty much seizure free.

Yes, at the age of 3 yrs., I slipped in our kitchen, and busted my head open. That started my seizures, and for the last 55 years I have had seizures off and on depending on the conditions around me. I am disabled, and I have my placard for the car.
