Are They Mini Seziures
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else felt like they are drunk without drinking? I call them Mini seziures. These happen quite often. When they start I feel woozy, my legs give out so I can't walk, and I'm spinning without my eyes moving. My seziures start with a Panic attack so I have xanax. If I take a Xanax it goes away. It was really bad when I was in Vegas at the beginning of the year. The mini seizure got so bad that I started hallucinating. That has never happened before. I can't tell my neurologist about it… read more

I was having this before i was diagnosed with my seizures ( frontal/ temporal lobe simple partial) i felt drunk without drinking. I was walking with a cane because i was so dizzy. Once i started on seizure medication it stopped occasionally i have drop seizures and this will happen. I also get a euphoric feeling without drugs or meds. Neuro believes its seizure activity for me.

The only time I’ve had similar feelings , but it’s when a medication doesn’t agree with me or I get overdosed from too high of a dosage.

i do know if you have auras, simple, or complex but not telling your neuro is a bad idea. if you are driving and having a seizure and your legs give way or hallucinating... you will lose more than a license. and the neuro is gonna help you.
anyway i used to have hallucination when i had a bad partial. i grab a uber or a friends/family.

Is it possible it's not a seizure but something else?

your so called panic attacks are actually the seizures starting. When your brain fires, your body immediately sends out a release of adrenaline. That causes the heart to pound and with me, then comes the down for the count nausea. I have also had many drop seizures before diagnosed, as well as laughing and crying seizures. Lights, sound and overstimulation of any kind are all huge triggers for me. I'm thrilled with the results of cannabis and cbd oil.
