EPILEPSY/ANEURYSM
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Trying to get some feedback from others... I visited the Neuro-Radiographer recently and got the results of my MRI/MRA... They found I have an aneurysm just above the right eye in the skull... This means another test to find out the size of the aneurysm and depending on the size, then treatment from there. In the meantime I'm being sent back to the Epilepsy Clinic for further investigation of my seizures... Does anyone else have an aneurysm or similar?

Hi there,
My mother had surgery from an aneurysm in 2009.
Depending on the location and size they may be able to go in innerveiniously and it's a pretty simple procedure. Just make sure to take care of this asap so it doesn't get worse. The seizures may be a result of the aneurysm, or not. Only the doctor can say. Let me know if you need anything!

Yes I was diagnosed with two brain aneurysms and I have epilepsy. I have one brain aneurysm behind my right eye that they are going to repair and my Dr says that having my aneurysm repaired my seizures will decrease.

They can't remove it till they get everything in order... So to speak. Kinda like cancer, they can't just go cutting... It could cause more damage if they don't make aware everything involved. We also have to remember we are not the only ones and there's more of us than there are doctors. Be patient and pray 🙏
