Use Of Frisium With Lamictal And/or Keppra
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Howdy Folks,
Like a lot of people, stress and anxiety have been the main triggers for my epilepsy over the years. Just wondering if anyone has used Frisium along with Lamicta and Keppra or any other meds for that matter. I would really appreciate it if they could give me an insight into how they reacted to it. In some people it will have a calming effect which had helped some people with epilepsy.
Wishing you health and happiness!!

Hi ,I've been on Frisium/ Keppra/ lamictal or a few years now At first Frisium was a kind of 'rescue med' I dont have particular died effects apart from the usual poor short term memory ,poor concentration span ,slow thinking - quite a lot I suppose 😂my cluster partial seizures have been uncontrolled for 20 years now You name the medication & I've been on it !

Hey michael like you stress, anxiety and lack if sleep are tiggers for my epilepsy. My doctor suggested i go on keppra at first. The side effects for keppra were alot of mental issues such as depression and anxiety and mood swings. Generally i am a very happy outgoing person but on keppra this changed upsidedown i became a sensitive sad depressed person, thinking this would pass i stayed on the medication for acouple of months. After speaking to my doctor about these side effects he put me on Lamotrigine which has overall been great - lamotrigine is also prescribed for people with bipolor disorder (which i dont have) but it has been a great alternitive comparred to Keppra.
