I've been taking it for awhile doctor switched me over to it from keppra. I think the positive things I can say about the medication is it doesn't ware off after awhile and stop working after your body builds up a tolerance for it , it different for each person. And it has controlled my seizures I believe I also take it along with onifi witch I believe also controls my seizures significantly.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member as my main seizures are partial complex birivact has helped me withbthierlables and also with all the others I have suffered from ranging from petite to grand mal seziures combining it with onifi. I find it to be a beneficial drug as my seizures are drug resistant.i also have 2 neropace implanted in my brain this was before I added birivact to my regimen so it's a promising drug for epilepsy I my opinion.

I have been on it for 9 months. Its working well for me.
I also was able to come off of Topamax which has terrible side effects on my kidneys.

My mother in law is on it she is taking it with Lamictal. Her seizures remain uncontrolled at this time but she is a tough case.
She did feel a big difference the first few weeks, but when she increased an addition 50mg she didn't feel the change.

David thank you for the info bout Briviact not wearing off as your brain adjusts to
it. With your extensive background bout dealing with epilepsy I'm sure you know
a lot. I've also tried many meds which worked for a while until my brain overrode
it. This is the first time I've heard of this meds resistance to this. I'd like to know more
bout what type of seizure it controls for you.
