What are the chariteristics of temporal lobe seizures
I have complex partial seizures that start from the temporal lobe. For me it is a feeling of deja vu, confusion, nausea, and often a sense of fear. To me it feels like a panic attack without so much of the "panic"....it is hard to put in to words how they feel. I just get this weird sensation when I have them. Kind of like an out of body experience. I generally stay aware during mine and can respond.
The Temporal Lobe is the is where your speech, language and memory center is located . I do know for a fact that those area can be located on the left or right sphere of the brain . What I’m not sure of , is if those areas can be located on both sphere sides at once. Whether or not you had the WADDA Test , they try looking for those areas in in your left sphere and right sphere Temporal Lobes.
A lot of times when we have seizures in one of the Temporal Lobes , we may vocalize, make sounds, even say words during the seizures . After the seizure you may have trouble remember the basic elementary stuff, like talking, numbers ,ABC’s, and Simple nursery rhymes ,like Twinkle Little Star.
I get these too for 25 years and thought i was having ptsd it was a relief to find out it was seizures and i wasnt crazy!!!
