Question For People In USA!
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone who has got RNS - can people come over to america and have this treatment? We dont have it here in England and i feel at a dead end! Also is it something that can be covered with insurance? Or do you have to pay? If so how much? Ive done my research on their website and spoken to the manufacturers but these questions they cannot answer? Thanks for any help!

I know for a fact the Cleveland Clinic treats people from all over the world, when i had my brain surgery years ago there were three other people in the same ward from different countries. You can just look them up on the web. There has to be a email address on their site where you can ask if they take your insurance. I only live 90 miles from them and one cool thing they have is a vido checkup. I don’t need to go there to talk to my doctor. I have a app on my phone where i just talk to my doctor face to face on the phone. He calls in any test he might want to a local place. Things like drug level blood test

I hope this helps you.
One more thing the Cleveland clinic has a entire different building just for epilepsy
