Looking For Insight On Briviact
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm switching from Depakote to Briviact tomorow. I've been on Depakote for at least 6 years and it's caused horrible weight gain. I dealt with that for a while but now I'm wanting to have children so I have to get off of Depakote. Has anyone taken Briviact? If so, did you have any weight gain with it? What side effects did you get the most?
-Thanks in advance!

So far I'm still taking depakote as usual and 100mg of Briviact. I haven't noticed any changes besides feeling fatigued. I come off depakote completely in 2 weeks. Which will be the real test. I'm just hoping I can get my weight back down to what is was or close to it

I am currently changing onto it too. Let me know how it goes. Going 100mg twice a day. What about you? Not going well for me so far :(
